Medaria Arradondo Parents – Medaria Arradondo, Chief of the Minneapolis Police Department, is an American officer of the law. Arradondo acknowledged the community’s and his parents’ support and advice at the Sabathani Community Center after Nyasia’s daughter was hanged on his badge while his son Medara Jr. looked on. He said that his parents instilled in him the importance of service and modesty for others.
In his address, Arradondo reiterated his goal of restoring public trust in the department. Following a deadly police shooting in July that shook public confidence, the 28-year-old veteran of the force took over the department.
Public members must have confidence in the officials who represent them, according to Arradondo. “I need the representatives of my department to be sincere in their words and actions,” Arradondo said.
“Being untruthful is like a boat with a hole inside a peace officer. It renders us useless, and no one with any sense will sit with you on the water.”
