Lunar New Year: In certain regions, the lunar New Year is based on the lunar calendar; it is the start of a calendar year, the months of which are the lunar cycles and the sun cycles. Today’s moonlight applies to the new East Asian year on the same day, the most notable of which is China’s New Year’s. The Hans Dynasty recorded the first mention of the New Year’s celebration (202 BC – 220 AD).
