Garnier Gradual Tan Review: Summer Body is a gradual self-tanner to the uninitiated. With just one application you can get a soft, light dye, but it can be built up if you want to get warmer. It is evident that the bronzing agent hangs in an apricottle-oil-infused lotion, unlike most tanning products, thus you have an explosion of moisture with your gradual tan. I use the light version (there’s a dark version too) on my sane, freshly scrubbed face. It has a texture similar to body cream soothing, but drought much more quickly. So how’s the scale of no-string, no-orange and no-biscuit-smell? Say it’s a discovery that’s unique.
The self-tanner, from a colorful point of view, reaches that sweet spot by giving an understandable and natural glow. Streaks are not a problem since tan is sufficiently subtle to look seamless. However, if you miss a spot, use a makeup sponge to blend in and then develop more lotion.
Summer body has a light, fruity scent, and the small level of the tanning agent does not turn into a sweet smell with time, as to the odor (which for me is a huge sticking point). Bad smelling tans often means you have to get a freshly applied color one day beforehand and compromise. With Garnier’s offer, that was not the case.
