Alaska Glacial Mud Net Worth: Uses mineral mud from the Copper River Delta of Alaska in its natural facial masks. In 2014 she launched her skincare company at Shark Tank, maker of Alaska Glacial Mud, Alaska Commercial Fisherman and ship captain, Laurene Padawer. In exchange for 20 percent equity, she went to the Tank seeking an investment of $100,000. She gave potentially investor Kevin O’Leary a memorable “glacial face,” but sadly none of the Sharks offered.
Shark Tank questioned whether Padawer should concentrate on selling spas versus retailing and whether the commodity should be sold as Alaskan. Mark Cuban told Padawer that she may want to change the Copper River Mud Company name. Barbara Corcoran warned her that retailing and spa is difficult when she learned that she works with the natural Nardos skin and hair product.
Padawer does not seem to have taken the advice of Cuban or Corcoran. The website and its packaging have been redesigned and still named the Alaska Glacial Mud Co. brand, and they are still sold at the spas and operate via e-commerce sites, like Musely.
